Hello there!
What’s new? I hope all is well and 2012 is off to a grand start for you!
Well, from the title, you can probably guess what’s been going on over here….
We have just finished working with a company called Cogneato to create a new website for Hazel Tree Interiors, the business I run with my hubby, Jon. The shiny new site can be seen by clicking here! And pretty much all I can say about that is, “Wooodeeeeehoooooo! So happy it’s done and looking good!”
Please visit and take a look when you have some time and let us know what you think! If you are subscribed here to the rss feed and you want to see blog posts from the new site, you can head over to the blog page and subscribe to the rss feed there. For the new site, I’ll continue to write posts, but Jon and guest bloggers will also be writing about Hazel Tree-y stuff and local topics too! And if you don’t use or know what an rss feed is, you can also just head over to the contact page and fill out the inquiry form on the new site and we can add you to the email newsletter list (no spamming, promise!)
Which brings me to my next news…
After thinking about this for a good, long while now, I have decided that I like my sanity! (Go figure!) I know, deep in my heart, that I need to carve out more off-time to spend with my family and friends. One huge way to carve out that time is to understand and honor that I can only handle maintaining and writing things for one website, in addition to all the stuff I do throughout my work days and nights.
So…in another week or so, the Karen Starr ReDesign website will be going to sleep and the hazeltreeinteriors.com site is what I will focus on from here on out.
It is a very bittersweet and somewhat sad day for me to finalize this decision…I loved this site and it treated me well for almost two years. But, now that we have the fully-functioning and also very pretty website for Hazel Tree Interiors, it just seems to make the most sense.
So, in about a week, if people come to visit this website, they’ll just get redirected over to the Hazel Tree site.
I do hope you’ll join us over there too and keep an eye out for those blog posts and sign-up to hear about Hazel Tree happenings and events. I have been a very busy community worker bee lately and have been collaborating on lots of projects and stories that I’d love to tell you about. We are also excited about the new direction and the new artists coming soon to the showroom in the coming months.
In closing, I want to thank you for reading this. Really, truly, thank you. Some of you have been reading this blog since the first day I launched this site, and held on through the idea of Hazel Tree, the stories I told as we were making that happen, and you’re still here.
Thanks for giving a crap.
Cheers,
Karen
